What Are AmberPax™ Collections?

Simply put, AmberPax™ Collections are groups of five stories centered around a specific theme. Each story within an AmberPax™ is released individually, on the same day as the others, and can be purchased separately, but these five stories can also be purchased as a single unit (the full AmberPax™) at a discount, currently 25%. Generally, an AmberPax™ is similar to an "anthology" of stories, but instead of the titles being released in only a single volume (file), they are also available individually. These AmberPax™ Collections are sold exclusively through our website and only in electronic format.

THIS BLOG is for news about the Pax Collections - follow it to keep up with releases, find early news of the upcoming collections, and share Pax fun and chat with the authors!

Still Missing by Christiane France

This is the sequel to Missing, But Not Dead, and there’s a third book in the works.

Blurb:

Ever since Greg Stewartson, ex-cop, private investigator, and half-owner of Amethyst Cove Security & Investigations, first met Ash Tyler, a handsome and very sexy nurse, he’s been trying to find Ash’s biological family—the one Ash says he had before he was taken into care and adopted by the Tylers more than twenty years ago. Greg and Ash are now a couple, but Greg’s leads have all turned into dead ends, so Ash told him to let it go.

Then one night a half-drowned man is brought into the urgent care clinic where Ash works. He says he’s looking for Jack Smith, the man Ash knew as grandpa. Suddenly Greg is up to his ears in new information and new leads. Will he finally get Ash the answers he so desperately wants or is he being conned by a pair of clever hustlers determined to conceal the truth?

Excerpt:

He (Ash) trailed a finger down my chest. I grabbed it before it reached its target. He wanted me, and I wanted him. It was always this way with us. But I needed to tell him my news first.

“How would you like to meet the guy who brought you into this world?”

“Huh?” He looked at me like I was crazy. “You mean a doctor? I thought I was just hatched like an egg in that old warehouse.”

“You were. Well sort of. I told you about Mary, the woman who lived in the warehouse at the same time as you and Rosie, and what she said. Actually, she was just a young girl back then.”

“Right. Jack’s sister where you got all your info?”

“Not all, but most of it. She said you were delivered by an ex-army medic who also happened to be living there. His name’s Chuck and he’s here in town. He told Mary he’d often wondered what happened to you. So we figured you’d maybe like to meet him. Although to be honest you already met him the other night at the clinic.”

Ash’s eyes opened wide and he sat up straight. “That old dude really was looking for my grandpa Jack?”

“Yup. So it seems. Mary had a chat with him yesterday, and he told her he knew Rosie and Jack way before the warehouse. Anyhow, long story short, Mary thinks he may be able to answer some of your questions, so if you’d like to meet him… Of course, it’s entirely up to you.”

“Did she tell him I’d like that?”

“No. She figured that should be your decision.”

“Umm… I’m not sure.” He hesitated. “Oh, what the heck. I guess it’s better to know than wonder, right?”

I nodded. “That would be my take on it, but I’m not you.”

Ash’s eyebrows drew together in a frown, then after a moment smoothed into a smile. “Why in hell not? What have I got to lose? You think he knows who my real parents are?”

“I have no idea what he knows or how long he’ll be here in town. He has it in his head that Jack may be coming back here to live, but who knows about that either? So, why don’t we get dressed, grab a coffee on our way, and then go collect Mary so she can make the introductions?”

Ash was already out of bed and heading for the shower. “Come on, babe. Time’s a wastin’. Let’s move it. If this Chuck dude decides to give up on Jack and leave, I may never get another chance.”
