It's been a couple years since I've written a series, but that's because I hadn't found the right stories to tell that demanded starting another one. Oh, sure, I met secondary characters in some of my stories that begged me to give them their own romance--and they probably will get them at some point--but it wasn't until I started working on my story for the Growl Pax that I discovered a world that begged me to explore it further. That's how the Bay Wolves series was born.
Boundless began with the idea of reuniting high school lovers, one of which had since become a werewolf. As I was figuring out just why these two had been separated, the politics of the world they inhabited started to deepen and grow darker. It became a world where werewolves are known to all of society, but not being entirely human, they're devoid of any real rights. Questions started to arise almost immediately. How are werewolves treated if they're not seen as equal? What would be the repercussions of being a werewolf in this kind of society? How far would humans go in their treatment of werewolves?
These are the questions my two lovers face. Denny is a San Francisco cop, whose brother secretly fights for wolf rights. He's been separated from his high school boyfriend, Elijah, since the summer after they graduated, but he's never known why Elijah disappeared until the night he helps his brother rescue a group of captive wolves. Elijah is one of them, and together, they have to figure out how to go on from there.
While Boundless is Denny and Elijah's love story, it's just the first of more to come. The world they live in can be a dark and dangerous place, especially if you're a werewolf. Seeing how other couples learn to exist within its constraints, and maybe fight back like Denny does, is the whole point of the Bay Wolves stories to come.

Please include me in the contest. Felt sorry about the captive wolves and how they must have been treated.
